Me
My name is Matthew Bibby . . . I develop things.
I have been working in this field for the past few years and believe that the innovative, ever changing world of eLearning development is one of the most challenging and rewarding fields to work in.
From this blog I hope . . .
* to share my half-baked ideas and get input from you
* to give back to the eLearning community
* to meet and collaborate
* to capture, develop and analyse
* to open up doorways, passages, tunnels or https connections
Up ’til this point here I have done a variety of things:
* spent too many years studying psychology and counseling
* worked as a trainer for SalesForce
* spent countless hours researching, discovering, developing
* working for SalesForce@Home as an eLearning developer
If you have any ideas about stuff I could cover in ‘An eLearning Experience’ then let me know.
Oh, and make sure you read the Legal Stuff – even if only to jot down my twitter and my delicious details.

It’s about time! As you know, I’ve been a fan for a while and I have been following your delicious site. I’ve been doing some reading on networked communities. This seems to be the latest ‘big thing’ in the elearning world -thanks of course to the ever evolving technology available. In the next few weeks my company will be launching our new intranet. We are going to run a series of ‘webinars’ – one per timezone (we are a global company). This is going to truly be a combo of blended learning as we will incorporate captivate videos, vodcasts, live demos and live help. The largest webinar will be delivered to the East Coast of Australia – four cities and over 600 particpants. Whew! Exciting stuff. And lots of potential for it to go wrong. The alternative was to send trainers to 15 different global locations. This would have taken weeks. Now thanks to eLearning and webinar technology, it will be 6 sessions across 3 days. This is going to be our first training session on this scale. Any tips?
Ps. Look up Peter Smith – he has a number of amazing books and journal articles on the process of learning, eLearning and blended solutions…
What a massive undertaking! One thing that I would suggest is that you have a real time chat channel open during and after the webinars.

You could even look at using Yammer . . .
Good luck with the webinars Jen, let me know if I can help at all.
Ps. I had no luck in finding Peter Smith, can you post some links when you have a minute?
